Keymate connects people looking for rooms and roommates in Ireland. Here's how we handle your data and what you agree to.
Last updated: 12 July 2026 · Operated by Keymate (mykeymate.com)
Keymate is a platform that helps people find rooms, apartments and compatible roommates. We are a venue for listings and introductions — we are not a landlord, letting agent, or party to any tenancy agreement between members.
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a legally binding agreement. You agree to provide accurate information.
Browsing and messaging are free during launch. Any future paid features (e.g. boosted listings) will be shown clearly before you pay, and are handled by a secure third-party payment provider (such as Stripe) — we never see or store your full card details.
Keymate does not verify the identity of members or check listings, and is not a party to any agreement between members. We cannot guarantee any listing, person or tenancy and are not responsible for any agreement, payment or loss. You are responsible for your own viewings, contracts and payments — always meet in person and never pay before you have seen the room. Keymate is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by Irish law.
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change we'll let you know, and continuing to use Keymate after an update means you accept the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

Where we show a map, it is served by OpenStreetMap/CARTO (map tiles) and unpkg.com (the Leaflet map library). Loading a map means your browser connects to those services directly, which shares your IP address and browser details with them — we can't see or control what they log.
Because of that, maps do not load on their own. You'll see a placeholder with a Load map button, and nothing is requested from those services until you press it. Your choice is remembered on your own device only; clearing your browser's site data for Keymate turns maps off again.
On your first visit you can accept or reject non-essential cookies, and change your choice anytime in settings. We don't use advertising trackers.
